Kagadi Urban Planning and Development Stakeholders Dialogue held at URDT hall

Kagadi hosted the Urban Planning and Development Stakeholders Dialogue at the URDT multi-purpose hall in Kagadi, bringing together government, civil society, academia, media and community leaders for a full-day conversation on the future of the town. The dialogue ran under the theme "Building a smart, inclusive and investment-ready Kagadi Town through collaborative urban planning, resource mobilisation and strategic partnerships", with keynote contributions from Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe, Mr. Gerald Mugabi, Brig. Gen. Charles Kisembo, Hon. Twesigwa Steven (MP, Buyaga East) and Mr. Gard Benda of World Voices Uganda. Community consultation meetings held in the cells and villages of Kagadi fed directly into the dialogue, with residents raising security, safe water access, support for vulnerable street children, and the formation of SACCOs and savings groups as priorities alongside roads, markets and planning.
